The California Scholarship Federation was proud to recognize several South Central Region chapters whose history reaches back to the very beginning of the organization.

When CSF was founded in 1921, these schools were among the original 28 chapters to join. Their chapter numbers were assigned by drawing, as each school hoped to claim the honor of being Chapter #1.

More than one hundred years later, these chapters continue to uphold the values of scholarship, character, and service that have defined CSF for generations.

At the South Central Region Awards Event on Saturday, April 18, 2026, commemorative plaques were presented to advisers and school representatives from the following schools in recognition of 100+ years of membership:

  • Anaheim High School – Chapter #2
    Jacqueline Rodarte, Activities Director
  • Santa Maria High School – Chapter #6
    Barrie Greeley, CSF Adviser
  • Fullerton High School – Chapter #9
    Jon Caffrey, Principal
  • Santa Ana High School – Chapter #13
    Arlette Ridoutt, CSF Adviser
  • Long Beach Polytechnic High School – Chapter #22
    Patrick Gillogly, CSF Adviser
  • Venice High School – Chapter #23
Ana Tirado Lomas, CSF Adviser, and Anne Marie Ankers, Assistant Principal

For more than a century, these chapters have guided and inspired students in their pursuit of academic achievement and meaningful service. CSF is honored to celebrate their enduring legacy.

The South Central Region Awards Event was hosted by Chapter 203 El Segundo High School in El Segundo, CA. Many thanks to CSF Advisers Judy Munger and Jill Moeller and Principal Steve Gebhart for hosting the South Central Region CSF/CJSF Awards Event.
